Please review these key rules and recommendations before your trip.
Carry a valid driving licence and the documents required by your rental agreement. At handover, check the fuel level, recorded vehicle condition and agreed return time.
Only an authorised driver listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. Any additional driver must be approved in advance and meet the current Rentix rental requirements.
Some mountain, unpaved or damaged roads in Georgia may be unsafe or prohibited for a particular vehicle. Before taking a difficult route, going off-road or entering a protected area, contact Rentix and confirm that the route is permitted.
Cross-border travel with a rental vehicle is permitted only when expressly allowed by your rental agreement and when you have Rentix’s prior written approval and all required documents.
Always follow posted speed limits, traffic lights and road signs. Road enforcement cameras operate in Georgia. Take extra care in towns, roadwork areas and on mountain roads.
In Tbilisi, pay attention to lanes reserved for public transport or other special use. Drive only in lanes where passenger vehicles are permitted.
Before parking, check signs, the parking zone and payment requirements. Traffic, speeding and parking penalties and related costs are handled according to your rental agreement.
From December 1 to March 1, appropriate winter tyres are required on all wheels on road sections designated by Georgian law. Depending on weather conditions, police may also require anti-skid chains. Check current road conditions before travelling to mountain areas.
Follow the fuel, return-time and vehicle-condition terms stated in your rental agreement. If you expect to be late or your plans change, contact Rentix in advance.
Never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that reduces attention or reaction time. Never give control of the vehicle to an unauthorised driver.
Make safety your first priority, contact Rentix immediately and call 112 when required. Do not leave the scene or move the vehicle unless police or Rentix instruct you to do so. Take photos/videos of the scene and damage and keep any official documents.
If a serious dashboard warning appears, a tyre is damaged or the vehicle develops a technical problem, stop safely and contact Rentix. Do not arrange repairs or towing without prior approval except where immediate action is required for safety.
Insurance coverage and exclusions are governed by your rental agreement. Failure to report an incident, use by an unauthorised driver, driving on a prohibited route or another material breach may affect coverage. Contact us before proceeding whenever you are unsure.
Smoking, strong odours, burns, stains or other interior damage may result in additional cleaning or restoration charges where provided by your rental agreement.
If a key, registration document or another supplied item is lost, contact Rentix immediately. Do not arrange an unofficial duplicate or replacement without approval.
If you need to extend the rental or expect to return the vehicle late, contact us in advance. Any mileage limit is governed by your rental agreement.
Use an age- and size-appropriate child restraint whenever required by law or safety conditions. Do not use a phone while driving in a way that distracts you from the road.
